What is coronavirus/COVID-19?
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered Coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.
Acadia University uses the names Novel Coronavirus and COVID-19 interchangeably in our communications.
