Messages to Campus

Dear Acadia Colleagues,

Thank you for your patience as Acadia continues to study options for the start of the fall term. I hope you are all keeping well and healthy as we continue to work under these extraordinary conditions. I understand that you are keen to know what approach Acadia will take and assure you we will make a formal announcement soon. In the interim, I hope an indication of our preferred path forward will give you some context as you undertake your planning for the start of the new academic year.

Acadia provides an update regarding Spring Sessions in-person courses and online learning.

President Ricketts updates the Acadia community on our continuing efforts to provide educational excellence despite the challenges created by the COVID-19 situation, including new measures we are taking to ensure student success.

Acadia has launched a COVID-19 Student Relief Fund to help ease the road back to campus by providing additional bursary support to returning students. The Acadia Students’ Union has also launched a new, needs-based Emergency Grant for students impacted by COVID-19.

Important Reminder – Stay at Home

As the spread of the coronavirus continues, we remind you that the Province of Nova Scotia remains under a State of Emergency. Everyone –  including all employees of Acadia – is instructed by the Chief Medical Officer of Health to work from home, if at all possible. We must do our part at Acadia.
